Showing Up

“The willingness to show up changes us.  It makes us a little braver each time.”

Brenée Brown, Daring Greatly: How the Courage to be vulnerable Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent, and Lead.

Three years ago, if you had told me that I would be offering Art Journaling workshops in my community, that I would enroll in a Yoga Teacher Training, and that I would feel so fulfilled, I would probably have replied: “In your dreams!”  But here I am!  My Yoga Teacher Training starts tomorrow night!  And my next Art Journaling Workshop is happening next Tuesday 🙂

Over the past three years, despite some bumps on the road, I have tried to  keep showing up.  Sewing, to learn patience, and to make things for my family and friends; art journaling, to explore the creativity I never knew I had; reading, to gain wisdom; yoga, to heal my body and my soul;  journaling, to start looking within for the answers.  Being surrounded by the unconditional love of my family and friends has made me a stronger person and now, I am starting to give back.  The Art Journaling workshops that I offer are a way for me to share the healing powers of creativity, of non-judgment, and of being part of a community.  With my yoga and meditation training, I will learn the tools to share with others my love of movement, self-care, and of the inner peace one experiences by sitting quietly, and breathing.

Thank you for being here.

Let’s keep showing up!

Here is my new Facebook page devoted to Art Journaling:

Regarding sewing, I am about to make two aprons for a friend and one body pillow cover for my daugther’s dorm room!

 Stay tuned!
